Em will start a year long Directing Fellowship at Rattlestick Theater in NYC

Em will have a residency at Adelphi University with New York Theater Workshop to develop their production about sexuality and gender in the Women’s Army Corps. This project is a commission for En Garde Arts and will have a reading in their UnCommon Voices series in October.

Em will be working on a new show at The Orchard Project as part of a 2 year residency with the Orchard Project Greenhouse.

May 2019

Em will graduate from Yale School of Drama with an M.F.A. in Theater Directing.

Candace will play at the Montclair Film Festival in Montclair, New Jersey this May.

Em will direct Alex Lubischer’s play Pivot as part of the 2019 Carlotta Festival of New Plays at Yale School of Drama

January 2018

Em will be directing an all-female production of Romeo & Juliet at Yale School of Drama's Iseman Theater. Their play Come My Beloved will travel to Chicago to be a part of Collaboraction's Encounter Series.


December 2017

Em’s play Come My Beloved will travel to Detroit for a staged reading and community event on December 17th (ticket link soon). Em’s film Candace will wrap post production and begin festival submissions.


October 2017

Em will direct Slave Play by Jeremy O'Harris at the Iseman Theater as part of Yale's Langston Hughes Festival of New Plays.


August 2017

A short film that Em has been developing as director and co-writer will go into production. It's about teenage female friendships, queer utopias and bathtubs. The film is funded in part by the Digital Media Center.for the Arts.


June and July 2017

Em received a grant from the Slifka Center and the Yale Program for the Study of Antisemitism to develop a new play while working and traveling in Bulgaria, Romania and Poland this summer. In Romania she will attend the Sibiu Festival, in Bulgaria she will attend the Varna Festival as a guest of New York's Drama League and in Poland she will tour the country with the Adam Mickiewicz institute.


May 2017

Em finished their first year of grad school at Yale School of Drama in the Directing program. Highlights of the year include: directing Chris Nunez's new play, In the Palm of a Giant with 5 incredible actors; helming a 9-person devising team to create a short piece based on a Bruegel painting; spending 9 months obsessively talking about Uncle Vanya; creating a new immersive musical for Robert Woodruff's Adaptation class; performing in the Yale School of Drama drag show; assisting Anne Kauffman on the world premiere of Amy Herzog's Mary Jane at Yale Rep.
